SUPPORTERS TO HOLD “DEKALB SUPPORTS DALE” RALLY
Residents and community leaders turn out to support Dale Cardwell for US Senate
Former DeKalb County Police Chief Eddie Moody, State Senator Ronald B. Ramsey, Clarkston Police Chief T. J. Scippio and many others will gather in front of DeKalb County’s historic Courthouse, Saturday, May 3rd at 12:00 noon, to show their support for U.S. Senate Candidate Dale Cardwell.
Cardwell, a long time DeKalb County resident, built a reputation as a truth teller and corruption fighter during his eleven year stint with WSB-TV in Atlanta. His investigations covered the entire state of Georgia, but DeKalb citizens also remember Dale’s work as a consumer reporter; exposing scams, protecting their tax dollars and giving them a voice on matters ranging from green space and open government to the closings of landfills.
Dale says: “I am honored to have such broad support in my home county, and I am especially humbled by the friendship and support of Chief Moody, a man whose reputation for fairness and honesty is legendary.” (Chief Moody will introduce Cardwell shortly after the rally gets underway.)
Dale was the first Democrat to enter the Senate race and is the ONLY Georgia Senate candidate who has declared his support for Presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Dale’s wife Angie is a hospice nurse with Odyssey Healthcare in Decatur, Ga. Dale, Angie and their children Adam and Jessica are members of Dunwoody Baptist Church in DeKalb County where Dale serves as a Deacon.
DeKalb’s historic courthouse (beside the current courthouse) is located at 101 E. Court square, Decatur Ga. 30030 |
